"Legacy's Edge"

Our first Merlot set a high standard, becoming a breakout hit among our first round of releases before quickly selling out. We knew the next one had to live up to the high expectations and when we tasted this we immediately locked it down. This should please all the Cab-lovers out there with its decadent power, and when I popped it a few nights ago it was so much better than I remembered. I knew from the first sip this was going to be an instant favorite.

Like its predecessor, this comes from another veiled source in the Oak Knoll District. But one thing remains the same – the value is off the meter.

Bobby worked hard at finding the perfect rendition here, settling on 85% Merlot from our Oak Knoll source, 11.5% Chiron Cab and 4.5% Cab Franc from another acclaimed small producer. 

“Legacy’s Edge” offers immediate gratification. SUPER soft and silky, it swells with ripe black plum and fig, warm pecan pie, crushed pink peppercorn and a nice kiss of sweet toasty oak. Dead sexy, inviting and forward, this one does not waste time flirting around. No dessert. No second date needed. Straight to business. From the moment you pull the cork, it’s hard to put this one down. Like all of our wines, it has a wonderful texture, lots of polish, terrific midpalate expansion, and a beautiful lingering finish.
