"Silk Stone"

Looking for your new daily driver Cabernet? Leave it to Paso to deliver the goods. I’m a few glasses in and feeling finer than frog hair because Entry No. 022 “Silk Stone” has entered the chat.

And this is…how do I say it politely…a “drawer loosener” as they said on Plymouth rock. Ah, screw it. We’re not puritans. We’re wine reformists here to tell you it’s a dadgum panty dropper! Boxers, briefs, panties, bloomers, knickers AND skivvies. Man or woman.

It’s straight up delicious and a screaming value.

This comes from a dear friend, and one of the best winemakers we know. A lone star transplant forging his way in Napa’s wine industry and making some absolutely kick ass wines. All his wines land on the more affordable side, with his comparable Adelaida-sourced, Paso Robles Cabernet priced quite reasonably at around $65. But when you can get it for as low as $29?! Put it in reverse, back it in, and load it until the struts blow out!

Maybe we should have called this “The Prodigy” because it’s absolutely DEALING right now at this young age. An overachiever in every sense. If you liked Entry No. 006 from Dusty Nabor, you’ll dig this. If you missed that one, this is your chance to get one of our best dang values yet.

This has everything you want in a Paso Cab. Immediately crushable upon opening. You can drink this now or next year. Or in five – up to you. But it’s SO good right now. Good luck hanging onto any for that long.

Packed, stacked and jacked and sweetly red fruited with loads of laser red raspberry, cherry jolly rancher, and some graphite and slate minerality. So fresh! So clean! With wisps of wild herbs and a well balanced layering of oak falling in line behind the dominant fruit. It’s a pleasure-driven ride for sure, but with Bobby’s deft hand of balance tipping the scales ever so slightly back in the favor of restraint and balance. It clocks in at 13.9% ABV so it’s certainly not a huge, extracted, boozy bottle. A brisk acidity really keeps it from sitting heavy or feeling boozy and oozy. And the mouthwatering finish leaves you yearning for more.

This delivers way, WAY above its price point. Get some in your glass!
